Our column dedicated to all the retailers who come to Tarì from all over Italy to do business and more continues. Today our journey takes us to talk to Mr. Filippo Tabbacco, owner of the historic Tabbacco Gioielli business in Catania.

Have you ever been to this beautiful city in Sicily? It is right here, in the very central and baroque Via Etnea, that one of the two sales points of Mr. Tabbacco is located. The other is located in C.so Italia, a stone's throw from the sea but it is in the streets of the center that we meet. Walking on the highly polished lava stone flooring of Etna we arrive in front of the windows of a modern and orderly shop, here Mr. Tabbacco begins to tell:

“I've been doing this job since 1997, I'm practically a "contemporary" of Tarì. We were born right here, in the shadow of the volcano, as a small business which, over the years, has grown by adding more and more offers and opening a second store in 2017.”

Mr. Tabbacco, have you chosen to stock up at the Tarì since the beginning of your business?
“You could say even earlier. In fact, I met Tarì when I was still an employee of another business, I came to visit you with my ex-owner and then the structure was different, there weren't yet the very useful pavilions for the fair. It immediately struck me as a welcoming and modern place, since then I can say that I have participated in practically all the editions of your fairs.”

What drives you to come back to visit us today?
“Definitely the fact that, for me, reaching the Tarì is easy and convenient thanks to the proximity and the services made available to retailers. Furthermore, every time, especially during your events, I find many national and international products and brands suitable for my shop.”
 

Do you consider Tarì a place only for business?
“I come to work but the Center offers much more. Over the years I have had the opportunity to attend exhibitions, events, fashion shows. Cultural outings have been organized to discover Naples and its surroundings. The welcome and the possibility of having partnered hotels are a further point in favor for those who, like me, come from outside. If sometimes I was undecided about coming or not, I always decided to join you because the range of services made available to us is truly unmissable.”
 

How do you reach us?
“When I have to come to Tarì I just need to take a comfortable flight early in the morning, I'll be with you in a few hours. Sometimes I leave a little early to meet other professionals and see the wonderful Naples and Caserta again".
